OpenSSL Command Generator

This page helps you to generate a command you can execute in your shell to generate a CSR (certificate signing request) or a self signed certificate.

Enter the data below and click Generate Command. Execute the command in a Terminal. Save the files.

The last update of this page added the subject alternative name option to the command.

Don't use the following characters: < > ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * / \ ( ) ?

To use the Subject Alternative Name option, you need OpenSSL 1.1.1 or higher. See this article for a command for lower versions.
